Forest Park's older foundations behave the same way Oak Park's do, with more settling and more small gaps to check.
• HOW WE FIX IT
Seal the garage door gap and any sill or vent openings, bait stations placed on the runway rather than guessed at, and a check on every quarterly visit. Free re-service between visits if you see activity again, eco-friendly products throughout, and the exterior work does most of it; we only need to go inside if mice are already there.
• WHEN THEY SHOW UP
The same pattern as Oak Park: mice move toward shelter as soon as it turns cold, usually starting in October. An older, less sealed foundation means Forest Park properties can see activity a little earlier in the season than a newer house across town would.
